Giardino di Pojega Villa Rizzardi

Realized between 1783 and 1791 by the architect Luigi Trezza, for the Count Antonio Rizzardi, the Giardino Pojega - garden of Pojega - is one of the best examples of Italian gardens. Laid out on three levels it has a surface area of 54.000 m2. In the garden, there is a temple with statues representing mythological characters, and on the second level, next to the citrus garden, there is the Stanza della Fontana - Fountain Room - a circular green area with a pool in the middle. Moving on through the garden, there is the evocative "green theatre" with seven rows of steps. During the summer, theatrical productions are put on here.
Pojega is a village with eighteenth-century wineries and rustic barns, in wich all the products of the farm Guerrieri Rizzardi can be bought. The farm Guerrieri Rizzardi is the owner of the villa and the garden.
